Ive uploaded my website to my web server, and when I hit the "submit" to test
the form thing, the webhost says that the page is unavailable, and when I
test it by using the webpage preview in publisher, then I get the "page
cannot be displayed" message (it comes up AFTER I hit the submit button).
Also, when I tested the form response thing after it was uploaded, the
address bar has the following:
http://pcsurgeon.50webs.com/index_files/--WEBBOT-SELF--
It should be sending me an email with the form responses, but I get that
instead. |

You need to set up the form properties
You have
<form action="http://example.microsoft.com/~user/ispscript.cgi" method=post>
Your host help files will tell you what is needed in the action line

Ok, I know thats what you use when you have the "Use program from my ISP"
option selected, but I have the "Send data to me in an email" option selected
under "form properties".

Publisher forms require server side processing and this can be with
FrontPage Server Extensions if your host provides them, or another forms
control program. Look to your host support section for what forms program it
supports.
Reference: Publisher web publication forms 101:
http://msmvps.com/blogs/dbartosik/archive/2006/01/07/80564.aspx
Reference: Web forms:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher/CH063576891033.aspx
If you use FPSE then you also must upload using HTTP uploading protocol.
This has become challenging with the new versions of IE and Vista.
Prepare, publish, and maintain your Publisher Web site:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher/HA100947601033.aspx
It is written for Pub 2007, but if you are using IE7 instead of IE6, then
the directions for using Vista would apply. Pay particular attention to the
instructions for FTP uploading in Vista. You can probably modify these to
use HTTP and mapping a network drive.
