Hi Ely,
Create a master shape from the image before you alter the text area. This
will generate the full size thumbnail. Then right click on the master and
find the Master Properties command. There is a checkbox in this dialog that
prevents automatic regeneration of the master icon. Now you can make
additional changes without affecting the thumbnail. Double-click the master
to edit it. Then use the Text Block Tool (found on the Standard toolbar
underneath the Text tool) to resize the text width as you like.
