I have created a web site in Publisher which was working fine but now the
main links to the various sections and the list across the bottom of each
page which has links to all the pages has disappeared when SOME people open
the website.

In our office with 5 pcs the links are visible on three and not on 2!!

I am guessing it's some setting on the two pc's on which it's not visible
but am now worried that they will not be visible to the general public.

Anyone come across this before?

The website is www.alparchitects.co.uk - see if you can see the links at the
top left which read Home, Residential Projects, Development Projects etc.

Thanks

What version of publisher are you using? My best guess is that some of the
users have upgraded to IE 8. If so there is a procedure to use in publisher
to correct your situation.

Publisher 2007 has two choices:

Update to the latest service pack which will make the htm files compatible
to IE 8

OR

Create a web site with nav bars etc.
Saved web site as "My web site.pub"
With the pub page open
Ctrl a (selects all)
> Arrange > Ungroup
This insures that all groups are ungrouped
This must be done on ALL pages individually
Re-Saved using Save As "My web site NBUG.pub"
I take the step to "Save As" so that when I shut down publisher and I get a
prompt to save my changes I do NOT overwrite the master file "My web
site.pub" accidentally.
Publish to the web
FTP to the server
Web site works using IE 8

If a change, update is required or a page is added
Open with "My web site.pub"
Make changes
Follow the above suggestions
BTW NBUG = "Nav Bars Un Grouped"

Hi

I have a very similar problem - it seems that publisher is saving the pages with references to files on my PC and not the website. When I tried the links on your site it was asking for ftp login details.

I will let you know how I get on.

Regards

If you require help, then please post the URL of your website and the
specific pages where you are having the problems, include the version of
Publisher you are using and details about your problem.
