Hi Folks,
I've just published an article about all the different ways that you can
show and hide things in Visio. This is useful for understanding all of the
options available for hiding geometry sections, sub-shapes, and other
visibility issues.
You can find the article here:
The Hidden World of Shapes:
http://www.wanderkind.com/visio/2006/09/shapesheet-hiding-stuff-in-visio.html
I hope this will be useful information for some of you!

Hi Folks,
Evidently I did something silly with the blog software - here's the updated
link:

Really good article, Chris. I love the comprehensive stuff. You know, we
still could use a single cell to make an entire shape invisible. It's nice
to have control over geometry, text and controls separately; but that
shouldn't be the only way to hide. It would also be nice to automatically
make a group shape's invisibility apply to its sub-shapes.
BTW, I didn't find an RSS feed for your site? Did I miss it?

Finally figured out how to set up the Atom feed, and added an "xml" icon.
You'll find the feed here:

Thanks for the "bug", Mark!
