I am trying to create a batch file that calls my launcher.

Here is what I have,

msiexec /a T:\apps\visio.msi /qb

Now the problem I having is that Visio does not actually get installed. Sitting at the client machine I see the installer status bar come up and run but it never gets installed.

Any idea on what I am doing wrong?

Not sure which version you're running but I found this link regarding custom
installs, administrative installs, etc.

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/Visio/visio2002/reskit/CH04.mspx" target="_blank">http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/Visio/visio2002/reskit/CH04.mspx</a>

Hope this helps,

Should have stated this in the intial post.
Im trying to install Visio 2002 STD on a NT machine.
The package is being pushed via WinInstall which we know is functioning correctly because we have 42 other packages that are pushed out without issue.

The steps I have taken this far are creating an admin install point then configured my command line in WinInstall. I've tried two different comnand lines, one being using the setup.exe and one using msiexec.

setup.exe command line is:
\\path to admin install point\setup.exe /qb

msiexec command line is:
\\path to admin install point\msiexec /i \\path to admin install point\visio.msi /qb

neither one works. I see setup.exe and 4 msi threads running in task manager. WHen I can manually end those threads entries get written to event viewer. one of them is system files update - error 2761

take away the q in the switch to get error messages...
this will allow you to see what is going on and why it
stops..
