I have saved a power point presentation and want to upload it to a storage
site. However, the format I saved it under is pptx. The storage unit will
only except pdf files. I have downloaded the pdf program but I am unable to
figure out how to change the current format to the acceptable one.

Paula,

Does your storage site allow the storage of 'zip' files. I'd be suprised if
they don't.

Try 'zipping' your files (compressing them)... they then have the 3 letter
extension of zip

something like
www.winzip.com is good for this

If by "the pdf program" you mean the free PDF add-in for PowerPoint 2007,
you've downloaded an installer program. You'll need to run it to install the
add-in.

Then open the presentation, click the Office button and choose Save As.

PDF will be one of the options.

The file size grows in pdf, the pptx size is 2 Mb, it grows to 4 Mb.

That can happen.

Try changing the "Optimize for" setting to "Minimum size" in the Publish As PDF
dialog box.
