I'd like to setup Outlook on my compter and my wife's computer so that she
can access the Outlook calendar on my computer from her computer. The help
files seem to suggest that this isn't possible for a user with Hotmail
account. Suggestions? (We have a home network up and running.)

Thanks. I've found another solution using a web-based calander that syncs
with Outlook at plaxo.com Not as elegant as being able to share Outlook on
a home network, but it works for me.

Thanks again.

I was pointed there but can't seem to get the folder idea to point to the
right one, it says something like HTTP://computername/folder, so I can't find
that or get it to point to it at least???

Version of Outlook?

One way to is just put the pst in a location both user accounts can access
and open it using file, open, outlook data file. if you use outlook 2007,
you could publish the calendar to share it.

if you right click on the calendar you can publish to office online.

if you use Widows xp, you can set up your own web server following the steps
here: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/publishcal.htm - before you
can publish the calendar, you need to install and configure IIS to accept
publishing, following the steps on that page to install iis in windows xp.

OK, I have this published to Office online, My wife has access to see it,
hmmmm, but can't add anything to it
I feel like I'm asking for the world here
I can't get the permission to change that she can add to the shared calendar
This is silly

Office online is share only - only the owner can edit it. If you want to
give editing rights to others you need to use a utility or just share the
pst file. If you use hotmail/live accounts you can share those calendars
and control the editing rights. As long as you use the outlook connector you
can use them in outlook.

In your case you should use ShareO. It's perfect tool for your needs. Try it free: download.cnet.com/ShareO-for-Outlook/3000-2064_4-10169748.html
