I'm inserting a photo into power point and clicking on set transparent color
to remove the white box around it. It comes out jagged and also removes the
teeth of the photo. How do I fix this?

The set tranparency tool is fairly crude, ideally you need access to
something like photoshop. You can use a trick to retain the teeth. Copy the
pic, crop one to show just the teeth area and use the transparency tool on
the other. Now position the "teeth" over the transparent pic.

Did that answer the question / help?

this is the first time I've used this site and wow! wish I had a log time
ago. While I was waiting for your reply I figured if I did a text box and
filled it in white, put it behind the image and grouped it, that would work.
Thank you so much for your help John, I have a huge sales meeting and will
use this site more often.

lsliwa

The set transparent tool will remove one (1) shade of a color in a picture.

Chances are your picture has many shades of white.

Wouldn't it be better to trim the edges either in PPT or a graphics program?
