How do i remove a border from a text box

When I right click, the format text box option doesn't appear to remove the
line as is detailed in previous e-mail messages.

Make sure you rt-click the *border* of the text box, not inside the box...
Or [prior to Word 2007] you can select the box by clicking it anywhere &
then go to Format> Text Box (very bottom of the menu).
