This afternoon I encountered an issue that sounded very similar to the one in the original post: I opened a file that had previously been formatted to print on 1 page wide by X pages long Upon doing so I discovered that Excel had reformatted the page breaks for me so it wanted to print hundreds of pages approx 1 page per cell Attempting to manually re adjust the page breaks gave me an
