Cannot print from Outlook 2003 - Runtime Error

When I try to print a message, no matter what format, I get and error message
box that states:
A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: 1343
Unspecified error.

It only occurs in Outlook I can print from everyother application within the
Office suite and also IE, Firefox etc.

Only started 2 days ago and have searched everywhere but cannot find a fix.

Running XP Pro SP2 and have all service packs and updates for Office
installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

OK further investigating reveals it is only HTML messages that are effected.
If I change them to text they will print.

I'm having the same problem is there a way to fix it? Any help would be

did you delete outlprnt file?

do web pages print? if not, it's a problem with OE's print dll - you'll need
to repair it or reinstall IE.

Hi Diane

Thanks for the reply. Yes I tried the delete outlprnt file but it made no
difference and yes I can print from IE and every other application.

Snything else that may help? Thanks again. Robert

I'm having this problem too, and I'm desperately in need of some help!

Like the other authors above, I cannot print HTML messages from Outlook 2003. Deleting outlprnt didn't help, and I CAN print from IE. This therefore seems like a problem with Outlook's print DLL. Repairing my Outlook installation didn't help either.

Can somebody please suggest a solution to this vexing problem?? Thanks!

The answer is simple. Oddly enough it's got nothing to do with Outlook, but it's to do with Word. Sometimes, when Outlook is installed the OLE connection between Outlook & Word does not take and when you try to print HTML files you will get the error. (matters not if you use word as editor or not -- I guess that Outlook
always uses Word as it's HTML Editor). Seems that sometimes the office installation fails to register ole32.dll correctly (or not at all)

To fix this, run this command by clicking Start Run

Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll

You will get a confirmation that it has succeeded and this should instantly fix your problem (well it did for me).

I got mine to work simply by printing a test page from the printers folder (start menu, printers & faxes, [printer that doesn't work]) for the printer that it wouldn't previously print to. I read this solution somewhere else and I don't know why this worked but it did for me.
