I use two monitors and always use them both. Microsoft Word and Excel allow
me to open multiple sessions at once. But with Powerpoint, I try to open a
second session and it just starts a new presentation in the session that is
already open. Is there some profile change I can make in PowerPoint that
would allow me to do what I want?

Most people will tell you different but it is in fact possible to run two
instances of powerpoint. I doubt Msoft would approve of the dodgy method but
here you go...

Create a new user account (in this case called extra) make sure it has a a
password

Open powerpoint in the normal account

Run >cmd
Type in runas /user:extra "c:\program files\microsoft
office\office11\POWERPNT.EXE"
Thats for 2003 in the normal folder you should change the version number to
10 for 2002
Enter the password when asked

Miracle two powerpoints!
