Archived from groups: microsoft>public>excel>crashesgpfs (more info?)

When trying to open an Excel File that contains some hyperlinks to the web, I
get an error message that "an automatic update of links has been disabled". I
went to Excel Options>Trust Center>Trust Center Settings>External content and
made sure that I had checked the "prompt user" choices. Then, when trying to
open the file, I get the same error dialogue box. That box has two choices
"enable" and "disable". Clicking on the "enable" still won't let the file
open. What to do?
