Hi, i was wondering if i could get some help with my insert caption referencing numbering system.
I'm using the basic style headings in a 100 page, 7 chapter document with a lot of figures and tables and everything has been working fine until i get to a certain page in chapter 3 and try to add a figure caption for a photo,where the figure number reverts back to 0.1, instead of 3.8, and all numbers following for the rest of that chapter follow, with 0.2 etc.. all the figures in chapter four work fine, eg 4.1, 4.2, but it screws up again in chapter 6, where table captions go back to non-sequential, random numbers eg 0.1, 0.1, 1.1 etc. In the last chapter, all the captions work fine again...
I'm inserting figure captions in textboxes, and am using the generic word 07 style headings.
I"ve tried switching computers and deleting photos and captions and re-inserting them but nothing has worked, and my thesis is due in 3 weeks so any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
