Can you email a contact list w/o exporting?

Hello,

I'm helping someone with their 2003 Outlook contacts. The information is in an Excel file; however, the person I'm doing this for would rather not have to import the information. (I know how to import and it's not hard) but they'd rather it "already be done". Is their a way to email a contact list already in Outlook? I've searched high and low and tried to follow directions for creating a .pst file but It's not working for me and I'm not even sure that's the best way to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hard to know where to start with so little information. Where are you having
difficulty? What directions are you following?
This is not a complicated or difficult process. To create a PST file:
File > New > Outlook Data File...
To send it, attach it to an email and make sure you've set security
restrictions accordingly so the recipient can access it:

I did make it as far as creating and emailing the .pst file. When I try to open it in Outlook I go to "Contacts", I highlight the contacts that I want the information to go into and then File, Open, Outlook Data File. The file seems to open but then the contacts do not appear. What might I be missing? Thank you for your help.

Opening a file in Outlook will add a new set of folders to your Navigation
Pane. If you created it correctly on the source machine, the Contacts folder
in the new PST will contain the contacts you want. To move those to your
default Contacts folder, open the new Contacts folder, select all the contacts
in it with Ctrl+A, then drag the selection to the default Contacts folder.
When the copy completes, you can close the added PST by right-clicking its
root and choosing Close.
