How do I draw a signature line on top of a name?

I have typed a name at the bottom of a letter and want to draw a line on top
of it for the signature. How do I do this?

Easiest thing to do is put the name in a single cell table to which you
apply a border to the top of the cell.

I usually create the line with underlines and then type the name on the line
below.
