This usually means that there are "lock files" that have not been deleted.
See “Description of how Word creates temporary files”
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211632 for a description of these "lock"
or "user" files, which will be in the same folder as the file you're trying
to delete. Often you will need to delete the temp files and then restart
Windows before you can delete the files.
