Trying to color every other X axis interval (I'm not sure what X and what's Y
- I want to shade every other area across the graph from top to bottom -
chart has 6 intervals) in a simple chart - is there an easy way to do this?

Thnak you.

X is the horizontal axis (the one that runs along the bottom).

Y is the vertical axis (the one that runs vertically from top to bottom on
the left hand side).

The way that I remember it is to look at the shape of the Y - the bottom
part of the Y runs vertically from top to bottom.

If my comments have helped please hit Yes.

Thanks!

NWO, do you have a column chart (with 6 columns)?

Are you trying to put columns so that they are coloured, for example, red /
green / red / green / red / green ?

I am not sure what you are trying to do nor the type of chart with which you
are working.

Please clarify and I will see if I can help.

Hi.

I like ther Y example - thanks.

I'm using a line graph with 6 percetnage intervals along the Y axis and wish
to shade every other interval.

Hi NWO.

I have put up a file for you at:-

www.pierrefondes.com

It is the first file on the home page.

I have played around with this to try and come up with what you want but
have drawn a blank.

I am assuming that, on the example, you are trying to have alternate colours
for the dates along the bottom of the graph (the X axis).
