I type a few proper names that sometimes I would like in all capitols. When
I do this, word always changes the proper name to just the first letter
capitolized. How can I stop this. Examples: when I type Gull, it stays
Gull; when I type GULL, word changes to Gull; when I type Rabbit, it stays
Rabbit; when I type RABBIT, word changes to Rabbit? It doen't matter where
in the sentence? Thanks for any suggestions.

In Word 2002 or 2003, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options |
AutoCorrect tab | uncheck the "Correct accidental usage of cAPS
LOCK key" box | OK.

Figures it would be something simple. My eyes scanned right over that
several times in the past week. Thank you very much!
