Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>drawing>graphics (more info?)

I've come across some strangely behaving docs. I think they must hve been
created in 2007. I have 2007 too.
One was merged with another doc. One of the merged docs had a DRAFT
watermark or background on it. When it merged, the user said he could not
remove the DRAFT on the two page that originally had it.
I tried and nothing worked. It acted like a picture bec. the picture iron
appeared.

The 2nd doc had two columns and one column said it was a text box. In this
doc., the commenting feature was grayed out. Don't know why?

Anyone know what's what. Could this be a smat object? If so, how to remove
the Draft and turn on comments.
