Hi,

When using W2002/2003 I could change the definitions of my chapters to:
1 Chapter 1
2 Chapter 2
2.1 Paragraph 1 from chapter 2
2.2 Paragraph 2 from chapter 2
3 Chapter 3
3.1 Paragraph 1 from chapter 3
3.1.1. Sub-paragraph 1 from paragraph 1 from chapter 3
etc.

I found out how to define that style. But now I have the following chapter
numbering:

1 Chapter 1
2 Chapter 2
1.1 Paragraph 1 from chapter 2
1.2 Paragraph 2 from chapter 2

Clearly Word and I do not agree what needs to happen. Anyone know what I
need to do to get on the same page as Word (or Word on the same page as me)?

Abel

Place the insertion point in the first level 1 paragraph (the first Heading
1 paragraph of the document in this case). Click the Home tab, click
Multilevel List, and then click Define New Multilevel List. In the dialog
box, click Level 2. Clear the contents of the "Enter formatting for number"
box and then reinsert it, using "Number style for this level" to add the
numbering of the current level and use "Include level number from" to add
the level 1 numbering. Type in the punctuation. When you are done, click OK.
