Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>spelling>grammar (more info?)

Hi,

I installed the Proofing Tools 2003 on my XP.

Now supposing I'd like to move a speller lexicon file to some other
place than the default directory in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof

I thought this would be easy, just putting the path in the registry.

But it turns out that even though there are registy keys for the
grammar checkers, like this one for Russian:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\ProofingTools\Grammar\1049\Normal
"Dictionary"="C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Microsof
Shared\\proof\\MSGR_RU.LEX" "Engine"="C:\\Program Files\\Common
Files\\Microsoft
Shared\\proof\\MSGRRU32.DLL"

-- there are no corresponding keys for spelling dictionaries or speller
engines (not on my
machine at least), i.e. no keys like ProofingTools\Spelling

So does anyone how does Word figure out the location of these speller
files?

cheers
Jarkko
