Spellchecking protected documents (Word 2000)

Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>spelling>grammar (more info?)

Is this possible? When you spellcheck a document, it only checks the
unprotected part. If there are errors in fields in the protected part,
it doesn't seem to check them, and also I don't seem to be able to run
a macro to unprotect the document.

Anyone know of a solution?
