Is it possible to download a dictionary for Word that will admit I've spelt
'colour' and 'realise' correctly? The red jaggedy lines underneath words that
I KNOW are spelled correctly are really starting to bug me. I realise that
New Zealand is small but there are still 4 million people living here and a
good number of them have Microsoft Word!
For starters, I've read the other posts: I'm aware of the exclude list and I
know you can add stuff to the dictionary.
But there MUST be something easier than:
realise realises realised realising realisation Realise Realises Realised
Realising Realisation
There are simply too many variations of each word to add all of the NZ
spellings and exclude all of the US ones.
This is cultural imperialism - all the way.
If there's something I can download to fix it, then please SOMEBODY put me
out of my misery.
Cheers
Rach

Hello Rach,

If you select the appropriate language version, you'll see that your
spell-checker accepts colour, realise, realisation, realising, etc. You are
probably in US English mode, which explains your "problem", but you can
switch to New Zealand English as follows:

Tools --> Language --> Set Language (select English (New Zealand)).

This should solve your problem.

Best wishes,

Thierry
