Hi All,

Word 2000 SP3 on W2K.

My daughter has produced a document that spell checker is not working on. It
says spell check complete, but is missing clearly wrong words. We have
checked that they have not been added to the dictionary in error.

This behaviour is not across the board and if I create a new document and
type rubbish (no sniggers please!) then it picks it up, but if I copy and
paste my daughters text in this document then the misspelled words are
missed!!!!

Any idea what might be wrong?

If it makes any difference we have also started to get the msspell3.dll
error, which seems to be doing the rounds at the moment. this is after years
of a reliable system.

Anything to do with an MS update possibly?

Any help much appreciated.

Regards.
Bill.

When you copy and paste, you bring along the formating of the original
document. Try "paste special, unformated text" and most probably, you
will find spell checker will check that part. Which will tell you, the
problem is with the settings of your daughter's document, most probably
set to "do not check".
