Hi, how do I recheck a document? I did a complete spell check and closed and
saved the document. Now whenever I open it to recheck it tells me the
spelling and grammar check is complete. This happens even if I save the
document in another name. Thanks

You have re-checked the document by clicking on spell check the second time.
Word has found no errors, that's why you get that message right away.

To make the "spelling & grammar is complete" go away, add some text to the
document.
