Try this:
Select it
Press Ctrl+C to copy
Choose Edit, Paste Special and choose a bitmap format, PNG for example
PowerPoint normally softens bitmaps so that should do ya.
If you want less softening, try enlarging the button or whatever before you copy
it. Or shrink it for more.
