Select/Lasso Drawing Tool

In Word 2007, where is the select tool I used to use to lasso drawing
elements so I could group or align them? It seems Word 2007 has taken a step
backward in that I have to use SHIFT-Click to grab all the elements.

IIRC, right end of the Home Tab of the Ribbon there is a Select menu item
which contains what I think you're looking for.
