Search Function in BCM

Have had to turn of Windows Desktop Search as it slows my computer to the level of a Commodore. When I go to a specific contact and then to their HISTORY, I desperately need a way to search within their email history by a topic, name, etc. I was able to add a FIND icon to the task bar but they are not "active".

ANY ideas very appreciated!!
