I can create Word documents no problem, but after I save them and try to
reopen them from within Word, the formatting is gone and pages of
instructions appear below the words. Yet, the files open perfectly for others
who receive them on email and I can open them from outside of Word. For
example, a file with 3 words
1. Word is sick
becomes
Word is sick.

In the File, Open dialog, change the setting from 'Recover Text from Any
File' back to Word Docs *.doc. This setting is sticky in versions prior to
Word 2003, so you have to remember to reset it after using that option.

I would send you roses if I could, Terry! I can function again at my work
station! No one could help me here!
