Since I downloaded the last update, I cannot use the regular arial font. I
can use bold, underline and italisize(sp?) but not regular. It is in my font
file but it does not allow me to open it up

I'm afraid you'll have to provide a little more detailed information.

Exactly which "last update" to what program, operating system, data file or ???
If you're running Windows, which version?

What do you mean by "open it up"?

If you're simply trying to use it from within an application such as MSWord,
which version of the application?

What are you trying to "open" it with? EXACTLY what happens when you do?

Sounds like the font file is corrupt. Reinstall it.

Find a copy of arial.ttf and copy it to your fonts folder.

I am assuming a copy of the arial font would be on my discs I used to install
office.
