Hi All,
Just thought I'd add my two pence on this...
We have the same problem here with printing equations in Word 2007. We are an engineering consultancy so use the equation features a lot.
We are using different printers again (Dell 5100cn & Lexmark W812) so I think the model of printer can be ruled out.
As for the Vista suggestion, I can confirm that opening the same document using Vista Business with Word 2007 will print the equations fine. (The combination that fails is WinXP Pro and Word 2007).
Seems to be nothing from Microsoft on this as yet.
The closest KB article I've found is this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920228
But its not describing the same issue.
The only workarounds I've come across so far are:
a) Upgrade to Vista business!!
b) Save in Word 97-2003 Format as suggested by Antrophin3, however in my experience this seems to turn the equations to images so they can't be re-edited.
c) Use the 'Save as PDF' add-in to generate a pdf, then print the pdf generated from within your pdf viewer. (This only seems to work using the Add-in, NOT from printing using Adobe distiller, CutePDF or PDF Creator)
None of these are really acceptable fixes, if anyone else has found a better solution please post it here.
Thanks in advance.
