Bet you can't fix this.
When I open Outlook the resolution changes to 480x680 from 1024x728
when I exit it returns to normal resolution:
What I have tried so far:
Made sure under compatibility mode 480x680 was not selected
Outlook repair - complete.
Uninstall/re-install
rebuild outlook profile
remove registry entries
What I can do: open outlook normally on a different user account without the
resolution changes to my screen.
I do not want to re-build a new profile for this end user. This problem is
driving me nuts... |

Format your hard drive and re-install Windows and Outlook. Bet you it fixes
the problem.

my apologies Tim but that is a very unlikely fix, I know could be better
solutions than this...

"Unlikely fix"? No, it would very likely fix the problem. A "reasonable
fix"? No, it would be a dumb thing to do without trying something else
first. Of course there probably is a "better solution" but I was taking on
your bet and provided a sure-thing solution that would win the bet. It was a
hard one to resist

I have been having the same problem in Outlook and MS Word. I had already
done what Dawn suggested, but that did not solve my problem. But I went back
through the process again and while in the COMPATABILITY window, I checked
the "Turn off advanced services for this program". So far this seems to have
helped, but I have attempted other things before that seemed to help. I guess
I'll find out for sure after a few times to verify. Thanks Dawn and all.
