Recently I upgraded two machines to outlook 2007 with business contacts manager (Did not upgrade office software to 2007, only installed the new outlook). Long story short, the switch was a disaster, ran terribly slow, and frequently crashed. We switched back to 2003 by uninstalling 07 from the control panel.
Outlook 03 was running fine again, until we stumbled upon a new problem. Whenever we click on a mailto: link on the web, windows cannot find the mail program, and instead of opening a blank email in outlook, it opens an endless loop of internet explorer browsers. The only way to stop it is to power the computer off.
My thought is 07 left something behind....any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!
