After I installed Office 2007 I realized I had a problem with some
FilemakerPro files that I download on a regular basis into a specific folder.
All of the downloaded files had been converted to Excel files. Any
suggestions on what to do about this and making sure that future downloads
are not automatically converted to Excel files?

SIFF

If you have XP right click on one of the files while holding down the Shift
key. Look for open with... in the menu and select browse for program or
select filemaker pro from the list (if you are browsing, browse to the
executable for the program (filemaker.exe???) Make sure you click 'always
use this program to open files of this type and all should be well
