Hi all,
I have a person with an upgrade from Office 2000 to 2003. Spell ck died. The
office language shows English under MS office tools>....language settings.
When you are in Word, Grammar is the only function that shows up. In the
settings Spelling options are greyed out. Outlook Tools, Options, Spelling,
Interational Dictionaries....no language at all shows in the drop
down.....Plus "Use German Post Reform Rules" shows as a ck box option next to
the drop down....Strange.
Any way, Office was removed, repaired. The Common Files, \Microsoft
Shared\Proof\ *.lex files renamed.....Repaired office again and replaced the
English lex file. I also killed the local machine Office 11 entry in the
registry and repaired office...no luck. Happens with fresh user profiles also.
Any ideas, this one stumped me.
Thanks,
Jeff

Guess what mine started doing it yesterday

I got a notice that spell checker had finished checking "all but what I
selected not to check"

I had selected nothing!

Now any new page starts out with spell check off - I have to go to
tools, language, set language and deselect "do not check spelling and
grammer"

This just happened yesterday and seein as you have the prob too.......

Any help would be great!
