Presuming this is Office 2003: use Explorer, Find and locate schdmapi.dll
and rename it schdmapi.bad. Then from one of the Office applications select
Detect and Repair.

reinstalled the software using the full installation and the system still
cannot find my data sourch and then say missing the ""schdmapi.dll" file.

Would you please advise me as to what I might try next?

Thanks

This seems to be appropriate. If not, a search using schdmapi.dll as the
keyword may be appropriate. It seems that this problem may occur for one of
several reasons.
