Microsoft works 8 has stopped working

Three weeks ago I purchased a HP pavillion computer that has Works 8.5
installed. However, when I try to format a number in the spreadsheet
function, or try to print the spreadsheet, I get the message that Microsoft
Works 8 has stopped working. Help!

Repeat of answer I posted to your same question Feb. 10th.

First off........do you have MS Excel installed or are you talking about the
spreadsheet application that is part of MS Works Suite 8?

That application is "not" MS Excel.

Maybe you should post this in the MS Works newsgroup for better results.

I had the same problem. The fix for the printing problem also fixes this one.

And yes, it is for Works 8.0.
