I would check two things, Michael:
1) under File > Page Setup, have you set the pages up to print how you want
them or are they just left at the default status?
2) do you have cells in your worksheets which look empty but in fact contain
formatting or maybe empty text? Select all the cells (rows / columns) that
you are not using and do Edit > Clear All.
