It would be great to be able to run a macro when PowerPoint opens a
particular file. It would be great to run a macro when a particular screen is
accessed. I couldn't figure out how to hide and unhide the mouse/cursor
through a macro. I couldn't find any details/manuals on all the macros and
how to use them and their purpose. The help files were fairly helpful; but
definately criptic. The help search LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED. Even 1 word
entries pulled up unrelated topics. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

PowerPoint won't do either of these things, but by installing an add-in that handles events,
you can make it happen; takes a bit of slightly more advanced programming though. See the
FAQ links below. Later, search the FAQ on "respond to events" for more tips on this first
question.

Can't help with that one but ...

Start here:
How do I use VBA code in PowerPoint
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00033.htm

and look throught the rest of the entries in the programming section of the PPT FAQ
(www.pptfaq.com)

You're FAR too kind. I think perhaps the Office search engine is a slightly disguised
attempt to murder the competition at Google. If we can't beat 'em, let's make 'em laugh
themselves to death.
