Link and embed pdf into excel

I have a spreadsheet that I would like to include links to various pdf
documents. However, I would like to distribute this spreadsheet to other
people, and I would like these pdf documents to be embedded into the
spreadsheet instead of just external links. I thought when you embed the
object it stays with the spreadsheet, so people that do not have access to
one's folders or network could see this additional info.

did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am currently looking for the same sort of functionality (by embedding a pdf into an excel file, so I only have to send one file)
