Win XP Pro SP1
Office 2003

Now when I use a word document and type an "i" I end up with the number 1,
so if I type excel I get...exce1.
I have checked word settings, auto correct and language.... and all appear OK.
I have only noticed it very recently but have not changed any settings to my
knowledge!!!

TIA

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

Is the "i" actually producing an "i" that gets converted into a 1, or does
typing "i" actually produce a 1?

What does an uppercase I produce?

A workaround to try would be to create an autocorrect entry where "i" is
both the "Replace" and the "With" text.
