Incomming Fax to pdf/email

just wondering if there is any way to avoid an "efax" type service and
have some sort of software that takes an incoming fax, converts it to a
pdf and sends it to an email adress.

Automatically? No. Not with Outlook. You can't use forward with faxes. You
have to Open the fax then Print it to your fax printer and generate a new
fax.
