I'm creating an HTML e-mail flyer which includes thumbnail images that link
to product brochures. When testing the e-mail by receiving it in Outlook, the
images being displayed in the reading Pane are 20-30% smaller in size than
they are in the original HTML document I prepared. Text is the same size
without ant reduction. This is not a text sizing issue as scaling the page
size in the reading page scales images and text eqally. inline images are
somehow being reduced in size. The e-mail looks perfect in any web browser,
but images reduced in Reading Pane when viewed by e-mail recipients. So far
I'm unable to find any help on this in the Knowledgebase or in these forums.
Can anyone shed some light on this frustrating issue? Thanks in advance!

Does the image resize automatically when you resize the Reading Pane as
well?
This happens when you don't set a specific size for the image.

If you don't want it to resize automatically make sure you set a specific
size for the image or its container.

Thanks for your response. No, the image sizes remain constant and the sizes
are specified in the underlying code. I'm sure the isssue is specifically
with mu Outlook '07 configuration. When viewed on other systems using OL '07
and '03 the
images display correctly.

I've been looking for some configuration option that would apply here, but
so far nothing. migh sound mighty picky but I'm almost ready to reinstall
Office. It's ridiculous to have to use someone else's installation to proof
my own work!

Do appreciate your help. Any other ideas?

Hobbits,

I've had the same problem for many frustrating months. I've tried everything I can think of... did you ever resolve your problem?

Thanks!
