Archived from groups: microsoft>public>excel>charting (more info?)

One department in our company has several pre-existing .XLS files with many
charts. The users are tired of updating and making mistakes in Excel, so
they want the entire application converted to our VB.NET environment. Our
MIS shop creates all reports in CSV format (comma delimited text file that
opens with Excel). The existing charts are extremely important to this
department since they are printed and posted all over the company.

My manager thinks the users can create their own charts, but they do not
know how since the non-MIS person who created these spreadsheets has left the
company.

If we convert to our standard VB.NET windows and databases, with
buttons/options to produce many different CSV exports, carefully created with
the same rows and columns as the original spreadsheets, IS THERE A WAY THAT
THE USERS CAN EASILY IMPORT THE PRE-EXISTING CHARTS into each freshly created
CSV-SAVED AS-XLS file?
