Hi everyone,
I get a message "Excel found unreadable content in <filename>" and when I
trie to open it I'm told the file is corrupt. Does anyone know what caused
this problem and how to get my old excel spreadsheet back? I've tried online
tools which recover some of the file, but there are a lot of "[lost string]"
messages. I'd be very much obliged,
yours,
Bryan

I have had errors like this when trying to apply custom error bars to Excel
2007 charts.

The problem seemed to be because the data for the error bars was in a
different sheet to the graph itself. Moving the data into the same sheet as
the graph itself removed the problem.

This is a bit annoying as I have never had this problem in previous versions
and is a bit inconvenient. I assume Microsoft have tightened up on something
which has caused this issue

Hi,

I think you can try a popular Excel file recovery tool called Advanced Excel Repair to repair your Excel file. It is a powerful tool to repair corrupt or damaged Excel files.

Detailed information about Advanced Excel Repair can be found at http://www.datanumen.com/aer/

And you can also download a free demo version at http://www.datanumen.com/aer/aer.exe
