| I have created a document of 11 columns by 40 rows. When I set the document
to 1 page wide by 1 page high for printing. The document become 440 pages. I
also get this message "Margins do not fit page size". I have try all the
settings and can not get to print this document in one page. I do not
encounter this problem in Excel 2003 when doing the same thing.

I'm having the same problem.
If I print preview and drag any of the dashed lines, it becomes one cell per page. Playing with the number of pages and/or % doesn't help.
It seems to also be somehow connected to the margins as the margins become to big for the print.
It is almost as if it thinks the paper size is the size of a postage stamp (even though it is set to normal paper sizes).
Ugh. Vista issue I think - way to many of those. |

| Did anyone ever answer these posts? I am having the same problem. It appears to occur when I change from a Network to a Local printer. |

I'm having the same issue. It's not a Vista problem, it's Office 2007 (I'm running it on XP).
Anyone get anywhere on this? |

| I've been having this issue for a while. It seems to only occur when I switch between my local and my network printer. Also, it seems to have something to do with the "fit to page" option. The only way I've been able to restore the document is to scale it back to 100% of the original size. |

How do you mean? In the Print Preview setting? In the View zoom?
I reset it in page setup in the ribbon, but that just gets it back from a zillion pages to 4. I need 1 page, though. |

Weird thing is, I opened some of the XLS files that were messed up with Office 2003, and they look fine.
I can't open the XLSX files as the converter always screws it up.
Very very strange bug. |

I have not found a permanent solution to this problem but one thing that seems to help is to go into c:\program files\microsoft office\office12 and delete EXCEL.EXE
Once you launch Excel again from the start menu (the shortcut from quick launch will not work (if applicable) as it is pointing to the program you just deleted) - you will see Excel install and voila! no more issues with print preview.
However, I have one user who has seen this problem return and I have completely removed office and added it back previously. I am not sure what the final fix is for this, but the above serves as a temporary solution.
