Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>general (more info?)

My software: Outlook 2007, all MS updates
Exchange 2003, all MS updates
FWIW, Vista Ultimate; 4GB RAM
Sending email software from "mail.bestschool.edu"

Situation: My daughter sends an email to me with or without attachment. Her
email address is "jane.doe@bestschool.edu" and my email address is
"john.doe@bestcompany.com". [root endings are correct - *.edu and *.com].
When she emails my gmail account [john.doe@gmail.com] I get the emails
including the attachments.
I've looked in all my folders in Outlook and done a search. There aren't
any Rules. and the emails aren't in the McAfee Spam folder off of Inbox.
Neither are they located in the Deleted Items folder.
Uniquely, on Sept 24, 2009 I DID get an email from my daughter's school
email (college) but since then....
Any ideas on where the emails are or their where-abouts? ;-(
Thanks

There are several places in the routing process where mail delivery can be
derailed. Is there a way you can find out if the server from which Outlook
pulls your mail actually received the message? Can you log into that server
via a web interface to see if, perhaps, there is a server-side spam folder
that received the message? Depending on the bestcompany.com account type, it
may be that Outlook simply can't see the folder on the server where the
message resides, but that it was delivered.
