Hi Jay,
Is this a new format (.docx) document or old style (v97-v2003) .doc document?
I'm assume you're using Insert=>Picture=>Linked rather than using Insert=>Object here?
If .docx then the new graphics engine may be getting in the way. For example if you use Alt+F9 in a docx file you may not be able
to toggle between field results (the picture) and the field display (field) and which picture you selected may not be getting passed
to the dialog by Word 2007.
If you have saved as .doc, then this should work for graphics that are 'inline with text' and the Alt+E+K dialog should show the
correct graphic.

I upgraded from Word 2K to 2007. If I select a linked Image (OLE Link) and
invoke Edit Links Dialog (Alt+E+k), the selected link is the first cross
reference and not the link I have selected. So none of the items in the
dialog box - Update, break link, Change Source make sense.
If I wanted to change the source of the link, I have to delete the old one
and insert new picture. I have hundreds of images in the file and this is no
simple task.
Thanks for any work around you may have.
