If you didn't choose another location, Word is saving (or trying to save)
the customization in normal.dot. Apparently, something is preventing the
template from being saved. (A common culprit is/was Adobe 7; see
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.word.docmanagement/bro..._thread
and
http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adobe_acrobat_toolbar.htm.)
You can force it to save by holding Shift as you click the File menu;
you will then see the Save All command. Click it and, if asked to save
normal.dot, choose to do so.
